When I am traveling, I like to take my shoes off as soon as I get on the plane. BUT who wants to put their peeps on the carpet where who knows any stomach contents have landed or whatever! You use your imagination. Even other people's shoes can spread dirt and bacteria.
So I always put on a pair of socks. If you really want a splurge, you can buy the most expensive socks from Moxon. This British company still produces the most expensive socks in the world.
